Moving On

So the Guardian seems to be a success, but is taking alot of criticism by people because it is too much like Zelda. Which makes me think maybe I should change up the art style a little. What do others think about this? Im not sure how it will come out or how long it will take. I originally planned on re-using art and making new animations and rooms as the game proceeded into later chapters. But I wont start on the sequel for atleast a month or two.

I have two projects im working on right now and they seem to be of great quality so far. The first one is a MGS type game where you infiltrate a base and destroy a weapon then escape. That's all the info I can give on that. And this game should be complete within the next 2 weeks or so. I am just doing the artwork and animations for this game.

The next game is called Paz. You play as a super being who has been betrayed by one of his brothers and has been cast out of his galaxy. Centuries later he awakens and vows to get vengeance on his brother for turning on him and he then must travel back buy absorbing power from planets. But you must take on the planets defenses along the way. I am writing the story and doing the art/animations/ and cut scenes for this game. I will have a programmer step in for this game as well.

As for after these are completed I plan on completing the guardian chapter 2 or creating a "mgs inspired game". And when I say that I mean inspired. The game play will be similar, but I dont plan on making you a secret agent or anything breaking into a base.

Comments

Yeah guardian wasnt that bad. Just needs to be more original. It had the feel but was too much like zelda

Yea I plan on making it a little more original next time around.

Bug- If you get items before you speek to people that you must give it tto you lose the itmes sometimes. e.g when making the sword

zelda.it's a rpg game.most rpg games are like that

sorta like the story in my game. I started reading the story for Paz and it relates a bit to the story for Xero Arena (game series).

The Story for Xero Arena (game series) at the moment:
"Xero Arena"
In the beginning, Danny and Xero were born, they are mislead to be clones. They have a creator whose name will be revealed. You play as Danny and you get to fight other characters and interact with them too. After you complete the opening tutorial, Xero (Danny's brother) calls and tells you the old man (The Creator) is feeding "Me (Xero) and you" lies. Get out of there before the old man starts telling you that I'm the enemy and he's not. Danny is sent on a mission to find his real father, but leave the Clone Facility. In having been betrayed by his supposed creator, Danny and Xero search ChestWood for clues. You meet a bunch of characters (E.g. Wong Shin, commonly "Mr. Shin") and some betray you. By the end of the game, Danny and Xero have made friends with Wong, and all of ChestWood, but betrayed some too. Danny, Xero, and Wong take a plane to Cracked for a sequel.

"Xero Arena: Second Fall" (DS)
Set 2 years after the first game, Xero and Danny return to ChestWood for a little get together. Danny finds that Wong Shin is becoming a little mysterious, as well as the death of many friends and foes from the previous game. Once again, you play as Danny. In this new game, you have great new abilities along with a high-tech house. The story begins when Danny is called by Wong to do a little work leading to Wong Shin's disappearance, after this, you meet new friends and old friends, new foes and old foes. After defeating ChestWood's original state, all Danny is needed to do in this game is take out the new southern island in the game.

"Xero Arena 2: Creator's Creations" (PC, Wii)
It's been a year since Danny last appeared as a fighter and now Wong Shin has reappeared but not in ChestWood nor Cracked, but in a state called New Peggis. New Peggis seems to have some great qualities and high temperatures all year 'round. You play as Danny once again. When a cop starts to make you work for him, the story begins to come down to 2 culprates from previous games (Wong Shin and Luis Balaquisse). Since Luis has been helping Danny way more than Wong, Danny and Xero go out to try and kill him. Towards the end of the game, you are sent to the creator's headquarters. You suppose that the boss would be there, so Danny aims straight at Wong. Wong is equipped with dual pistols. Danny is equipped with an AK-47. Danny shoots at Wong's head but barely hits. Wong shoots several times at Danny in the face. Danny is taken to the hospital.

"Xero Arena 3: Last Revenge" (Unknown Consoles/Handhelds)
Taking place about 10 years after the first game, 8 after the second game, and 7 years after the third, Xero is the new protagonist (you know, Danny's brother) since the hospital hasn't reported that Danny is still alive. Xero is out for revenge. Since Wong wasn't the actual creator, Xero is out to find his true father and kill anybody who comes in his way. This game doesn't revolve around meeting characters, this time it's killing them.
*Just because it's called Last Revenge, doesn't mean it's the final game in the series.

"Xero Xiao"
Play as Xiao during the same year as Xero Arena 3, as you have found your father has been dead and Xiao Xiao is the creator.

braintoast, TL;DR
UknownXL, good luck with your next proyect, ill look forward to it.
